Role Description
The Finance Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Somerset, responsible for supporting the finance function and ensuring accurate, timely financial processes. This role includes maintaining accounting records, assisting with invoicing, monitoring expenditures, and preparing routine financial reports for internal stakeholders. The Finance Coordinator helps with budgeting activities, reconciliations, and tracking project-related costs to support decision-making and compliance with internal policies. Daily tasks also involve collaborating with operational teams, responding to finance-related inquiries, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial procedures and controls. The individual in this role is expected to work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team to ensure reliable financial information and efficient operations.

Qualifications

- AAT Level 3 or 4.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and support informed decision-making.
- Foundational knowledge of finance principles and experience supporting finance operations.
- Practical experience in accounting processes, including accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations.
- Ability to assist with budgeting activities and monitor costs against budgets.
- Experience preparing or supporting financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP or accounting systems).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
