David Fickling Books and The Phoenix comic are looking for a Finance & Data Analyst!

This is an exciting new role in our fast-growing, award-winning, independent publishing company. We are looking for someone to work closely within our team to help us continue to publish market-leading children’s fiction, non-fiction and comic books.

The Finance & Data Analyst will support our finance and business teams by delivering clear, data-driven insights that improve performance and decision-making.

You’ll use Excel and Power BI to analyse financial and operational data, build dashboards, and streamline reporting processes while working closely with finance and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Produce regular financial and operational reports
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Automate reporting and improve data workflows
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Provide insights to support business decisions

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Experience in financial analysis, reporting, or data analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills and Power BI experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Desirable

  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A
  • Experience improving reporting processes or automation

Location: Oxford City Centre

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
