About the Role
You will support a global finance transformation migrating the finance function from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP across a large, multi-entity international footprint.
As part of this transformation, finance is redesigning how it produces its P&L, management reporting and performance data across a modern data and analytics (D&A) stack: Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP as the transactional core, Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) as the analytical and reporting layer, OneStream for planning, forecasting and consolidation, and Microsoft Fabric as the enterprise data platform.
This role is a senior consultant engaged to co-design the finance D&A target strategy together with the CFO office, Group FP&A and ERP Programme leadership, and to drive hands-on delivery of P&L and performance reporting on that stack. It is deliberately a blend of strategy and delivery: the final architecture — in particular the boundary between FDI and OneStream, and the role and connectivity of Microsoft Fabric — is still to be shaped, and this person will help define it and then make it real.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shape the finance D&A strategy and target architecture
- Co-design, with the CFO office, Group FP&A, the Plan-to-Perform GPO and SKY Program leadership, the finance D&A target operating model and reporting architecture.
- Work closely with the Plan-to-Perform GPO and the IS team to set the strategy for how the systems are used across time horizons — defining the FDI / OneStream boundary (actuals and P&L in FDI; forecasting, planning and consolidation in OneStream) and where ownership sits for each horizon.
- Define the role, usage patterns and connectivity architecture of Microsoft Fabric within the finance data landscape — currently open, to be established as part of this strategy.
- Define the strategy for accessing historical financial data required for P&L reporting and comparatives — what legacy Oracle E-Business Suite history is migrated, retained or archived, and how it is surfaced in the target state.
- Establish cross-system consistency principles (accounts, entities and hierarchies) so actuals and plan stay comparable, and translate the strategy into a pragmatic, sequenced delivery roadmap aligned to the Program go-live.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

2. Deliver P&L reporting and the performance-data foundation
- Lead the migration of P&L and management reporting into Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, ensuring chart of accounts, entity and management hierarchies and mapping logic from Fusion support consistent P&L reporting across the group.
- Design semantic models, subject areas, KPIs and dashboards that deliver accurate, drill-downable P&L and performance data — real-time where required — to finance and business stakeholders.
- Define and stand up the Microsoft Fabric performance-data foundation — pipelines, semantic layer and connectivity to Fusion, FDI and OneStream — ensuring data flow across the landscape is coherent, governed and performant.
- Provide data-driven insight and recommendations to senior finance stakeholders to support decision-making.
3. Data governance, quality and lineage
- Establish fit-for-purpose data governance, quality controls and lineage for finance reporting data.
- Implement reconciliations and data-quality checks so P&L and performance figures are trusted across statutory, management and planning views.
4. Stakeholder collaboration and knowledge transfer
- Operate as an integrated member of the SKY Program team alongside the Plan-to-Perform GPO, Group FP&A, the CFO office, controllers, the IS team and the systems integrator.
- Provide direction to program analytics resources where relevant and coordinate with cross-functional IT and data teams.
- Document, upskill and hand over to the retained finance organization so the capability is sustained beyond the engagement

What we are looking for
Technical and domain expertise:
- Deep hands-on experience delivering P&L, management reporting and performance analytics within a finance function.
- Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI): design and delivery of subject areas, semantic models and dashboards — or strong equivalent Oracle analytics experience (OAC / OTBI) with the ability to move onto FDI.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP finance data structures (GL, chart of accounts, hierarchies), and an understanding of E-Business Suite to Fusion migration and data continuity.
- OneStream: planning, forecasting and/or consolidation delivery.
- Microsoft Fabric, or a comparable modern data platform / Lakehouse (Synapse, Databricks, Power BI semantic models), with the architecture judgement to define its role from a blank sheet.
- Financial data modelling, data pipelines and integration, semantic layers, and data governance and quality.
Consulting and delivery:
- Proven delivery on large-scale ERP or finance transformation programs, ideally multi-entity and multi-country.
- Able to operate at both strategy and architecture level — co-designing with senior stakeholders and at hands-on delivery level.
- Strong stakeholder management with CFO, FP&A and controller audiences.
- Comfortable defining the approach under ambiguity, for example where the Fabric role is still open.
Advantageous:
- Experience in aviation, technology or other complex multinational group environments.
- Experience of environments where actuals (FDI) and plan (OneStream) coexist and must reconcile.
Qualifications
- Degree in finance, data science, computer science or a related field; a finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) or a data credential is advantageous.
- Certifications across the relevant stack — Oracle Fusion Analytics / FDI, Microsoft Fabric / Azure data, OneStream — are advantageous.
