Location: York or Bristol-based (50% hybrid working)
Salary: circa £115,000
About the Role
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience leading complex Finance change programmes—and who enjoys bringing together Finance, Actuarial, and Technology teams to deliver impactful business outcomes. The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced environments, thrives in ambiguity, and is passionate about improving forecasting, insight, and decision-making.
The Finance Delivery Lead will play a key role in shaping and delivering the future of Finance forecasting through the Forecasting and Scenario Tool Results (FaSTR) programme. In this role, you’ll:
- Guide the next phase of delivery, building on existing foundations.
- Enhance capabilities in:
- Capital forecasting
- IFRS reporting
- Liquidity forecasting
- Future scenario modelling
- Ensure solutions align with business-as-usual processes.
- Foster better insight, stronger controls, and more effective decision-making across UK IWR Finance, Group, Actuarial, and Technology teams.

- Qualified actuary or equivalent experience in financial forecasting, capital, and reporting.
- Proven track record leading complex Finance, Actuarial, or business change programmes with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of capital forecasting, IFRS reporting, and liquidity forecasting, with the ability to bridge technical requirements and business outcomes.
- Stakeholder management expertise, including influencing and challenging senior leaders.
- Analytical problem-solving and prioritisation skills, ensuring delivery at pace.
- Collaborative leadership combined with experience managing:
- Governance
- Risks
- Issues
- Dependencies
- Resource planning across large programmes or portfolios.
