Role Overview

Our client is a rapidly scaling finance technology and payments platform that has recently secured Series A funding and we are keen to hire their first permanent Finance Director, which has a clear route to CFO in time.

As the business enters its next phase of growth, we are seeking an exceptional talent to lead financial strategy, governance and commercial performance across a multi-entity group.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Founder & CEO and working closely with the Board, this is a highly influential role with responsibility for financial planning, reporting, treasury, safeguarding oversight, regulatory compliance, and commercial decision support.
  • You will be a key point of contact between the business, the board, and the VC investors.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling an FCA-regulated business, supporting fundraising activities, and strengthening the financial foundations of a market-leading platform.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
