Finance Director – Manufacturing SME
An exciting opportunity to join a small to medium enterprise (SME) manufacturing organisation, where you will play a critical role in supporting the Managing Director (MD) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in strategic financial decision-making. This is a hybrid role with potential for progression into a wider group position.
As the ** Finance Director**, you will be the strategic senior executive responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring robust strategic planning, risk management, and long-term stability and growth. The role will require management of a small but highly capable finance team, collaborating closely with the MD.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise the Board/CEO on financial performance, growth strategies, and investment appraisals.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts with commentary, navigate annual accounts processes, and handle audits while providing additional, proactive management information as needed.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals, and develop rolling annual forecasts.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, taxation, and regulatory requirements relevant to the business.
- Mentor and manage the internal finance team, fostering professional development and operational efficiency.
- Oversee company funds, debt management, and treasury functions to optimise financial health.

Requirements
- Hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Proven experience of operating in a manufacturing environment, bringing sector-specific insight and knowledge.
- A strategic finance professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide forward-thinking, data-driven guidance.
- Demonstrated experience in people management, leading, and developing finance teams.
- Strong multi-disciplinary focus with the capability to collaborate effectively across departments.
