Senior (Part-Time) Finance Director – Cambridge

About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function on a part-time basis in Cambridge. This role also involves active engagement as a key board member and requires strategic oversight alongside day-to-day operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning and cash flow management
  • Prepare Board and investor reporting, monthly management accounts, and KPI insights
  • Oversee core finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage relationships with external accountants and key stakeholders
  • Maintain compliance and company secretarial duties

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant: Requirement for a CA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of AI applications
  • Outstanding communication and commercial acumen
  • Proven board-level experience
