This role is both strategic and hands-on, partnering closely with the Group CFO, MD and local leadership team to support commercial decision-making, investment priorities, and long-term planning while maintaining strong financial discipline.

Key Tasks

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to the MD, providing clear financial insight on growth initiatives, product investment, pricing, and customer strategy
  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial plans, taking into account NHS funding cycles and procurement dynamics

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Ensure robust financial controls and compliance to group policies and processes
  • Oversee tax, VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance

Commercial & Finance

  • Own SaaS and commercial metrics, including ARR/MRR, MRGP, churn, and customer lifetime value
  • Support pricing, contract structures, and commercial terms for GP practices, PCNs, and other NHS customers
  • Provide financial input into tenders, framework opportunities, and larger NHS contracts, balancing growth, margin, and risk

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
