Finance Director (Commercial)

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Commercial Finance Leadership: Reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Director, with a dotted line to the Chief Revenue Officer, Executive VP of eCommerce, and their leadership teams. Responsible for driving growth through data-driven insights and risk/opportunity identification.
- Ad Sales Revenue & Strategic Partnership: The primary commercial business partner to Global Ad Sales teams, overseeing ad sales revenue and gross contribution for the division.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Leading all forecasting and budgeting efforts within this area, including deep analysts of ad sales revenue trends and financial metrics.
- Team Development & Process Improvement: Driving continuous improvement in commercial finance practices while managing a team of business finance partners. Focus on fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
- Global Business Alignment: Acting as a linchpin between revenue teams, marketing leaders, commercial strategy, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to align commercial and financial objectives.

- C-suite Communication: Effectively distils complex financial data into clear, insightful executive insights.
- Strategic Influence: Develops actionable financial and operational insights to influence high-level decisions.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Demonstrates proactive decision-making, agility, and the ability to tackle complex challenges.
- Commercial Expertise: Hands-on commercial industry experience, particularly within media, advertising, or marketing.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engages across Finance, leadership, and operations—rapid learning and Information application skills.
- Team Leadership: Successfully manages team performance, conflict resolution, and professional growth.
- Proactive Analytical Mind: Strong numeracy, critical reasoning, and ability to deliver on complex tasks without compromise.
- Global Flexibility: Prioritises balancing support/challenge across organisational levels; flexibility to accommodate US Central/Eastern Time adjustments.
- Presentation Skills: Clearly translates multifaceted financial analyses to diverse stakeholders.
- Degree of Adaptability: Possesses commercial awareness, teamwork, and flexibility to excel in varied demands.
High-Level Requirements
✔ Strong commercial mindframe, grounded in financial analysis and strategic risk mitigation.
