Senior Finance Director - B2C Commercial Finance (Global Ad Sales)

Location: Hybrid (Bath or London office, 2 days in-office/3 days remote) Salary: £110,000 – £140,000

About the Role

This is a strategic senior finance position, reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Director with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Revenue Officer, Executive VP of eCommerce, and their senior leadership teams. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Commercial Finance Leadership

  • Serve as the primary commercial finance business partner to Global Ad Sales teams, owning ad sales revenue forecast, contribution, and profitability for the division.
  • Develop and maintain Ad Sales budgets and forecasts to support revenue growth and risk management.
  • Align financial strategies with commercial objectives, identifying growth opportunities and envisioning solutions.
  • Champion innovative thinking across finance and revenue teams to drive value and agility.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead the Commercial Finance team, fostering growth, best practice, and process improvement.
  • Mentor commercial finance business partners and encourage a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and enterprise-minded thinking.

Global Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner across Finance, business leaders, and operational teams to distil financial insights into actionable decisions.
  • Work in cross-timezone synergy with key European sub-Sahara and North American stakeholders (Central Eastern Time, GMT –5 to –7).

Commercial & Financial Analysis

  • Utilise creative data and analytics to manages risks, drive efficiency, and uncover growth potential.
  • Present complex financial information clearly to all stakeholders, ensuring timely and impactful communication.

Culture & Team Impact

  • Deliver results by balancing challenge and encouragement across the organisation, from entry-level to executive.
  • Promote commercial awareness, flexibility, and proactive problem-solving within teams.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

Essential Requirements

  • Strong regional/industry experience (preferably in global commercial media/advertising).
  • Qualified accountant qualification (CPA, ACA, or ACCA).
  • Evidenced experience in high-level stakeholder management and strategic decision-making using financial insights.

Key Attributes & Skills

  • C-suite communication skills – converting nuanced financial/operational data into concise, insightful messaging.
  • Proactive, analytical problem-solving mindset with the drive to lead complex or difficult tasks.
  • abilidad to distil and prioritise workloads effectively (businesses operate across timezones; adaptability is critical).
  • Exceptional team leadership and conflict resolution abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness and adaptability to business dynamics.
