About XYB

XYB is the company creating Adaptive Financial Infrastructure (AFI), the new category for banking orchestration, unifying systems, people, and processes — context aware, operationally resilient.

The AFI Platform, the banking orchestrator at event speed, is the event-native substrate enabling financial institutions to modernise and launch new digital propositions, adapting in weeks, not years. Recognised by Everest Group and Celent, XYB empowers financial institutions to adopt agentic AI, real-time payments, and decentralised finance, and be ready for what's next without replacing what already works.

The role

We're looking for a Finance Director who combines strong technical accounting foundations with genuine strategic range. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll own the integrity of our numbers day to day while shaping the financial strategy that supports XYB's next stage of growth.

You'll manage and develop our Finance Manager, so we need someone who enjoys coaching as much as doing; someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves on month-end close one day and presenting scenario models to the board the next.

A key part of this role will be helping to lead an upcoming fundraise: building the financial story and model, preparing the data room, and supporting the leadership team through investor conversations and due diligence.

What you'll do

Strategic and commercial finance

  • Own Board and Investor reporting, liaising directly with stakeholders and presenting at Board meetings when required
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning, in order to advise on capital allocation decisions, with regular re-forecasting as the business evolves
  • Own commercial pricing analysis - margin modelling, pricing reviews, and deal support, working closely with sales and leadership
  • Build financial models and scenario analyses to support investment and expansion decisions
  • Help lead our next fundraise: own the financial model and forecasts, prepare the data room, and support investor meetings and due diligence
  • Partner with the leadership team as a commercial sounding board, translating numbers into decisions
  • Own cash flow management, working capital, treasury, and banking

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
