Job title: Finance Director
Remuneration: Circa £100k depending on experience, and excellent benefits
Location: Home-based with regular travel to our care homes and meetings across England

About The Role
The Finance Director is a pivotal executive leadership role at Elizabeth Finn Homes, with responsibility for the financial strength and sustainability of the organisation and strategic leadership of our finance, commercial performance, property and audit functions. This is much broader than a traditional finance role.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive & Commercial Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership across the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Executive Leadership Team and Board to deliver long-term objectives and ensure sustainable growth.
Finance & Financial Strategy
- Lead the organisation's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and controls, ensuring strong financial performance and effective resource management.
Performance, Insight & Business Improvement
- Develop robust management information, dashboards and reporting to support informed decision-making, identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
Property & Estates Leadership
- Oversee the property and estates portfolio, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, well maintained and aligned to the organisation's long-term strategy.
Governance, Risk & Assurance
- Lead organisational governance, risk management and assurance frameworks, ensuring compliance, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.

IT & Shared Technology Services
- Provide strategic oversight of IT, technology investment, corporate governance and Board reporting, ensuring effective systems, policies and decision-making.
Corporate Governance
- Ensure the highest standards of corporate governance, Board reporting and statutory compliance, supporting effective decision-making and maintaining robust governance arrangements across the organisation.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and values-driven culture that supports colleagues to succeed.
Essential Experience And Skills
- A recognised professional accountancy qualification, for example ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong commercial and strategic financial leadership experience.
- Demonstrable experience of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, audit, risk and governance.
- Experience of leading and developing high-performing teams and working effectively with Boards, committees and senior stakeholders.
- Strong business partnering and influencing skills, including the demonstrable ability to lead effectively through matrix or shared-service relationships.
- Experience of leading significant organisational projects or change.
- Personal credibility, integrity and resilience.

- The first stage of the process will be an interview via Teams in the week commencing 27th July.
- The final stages of the process will include informal meetings with the team in w/c 3rd August, and a formal panel held in person at the offices of Turn2us in Farringdon, London, on 5th August 2026.
