Job Description
The Finance Director will be part of a dynamic and experienced Group Reporting team. The Group Reporting team manages the external and internal reporting within the Ergomed Group, and the Finance Director will have a key role in reviewing and overseeing the key deliverables of the Group Reporting team. The key deliverables of the team include the Group’s Annual Financial Statements, Audit Committee/Board reporting, monthly management accounts, supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, financial reporting and analysis to support decision making, and technical accounting papers.

The Finance Director will be part of a finance team of over 50+ professionals based throughout the globe and will work closely with the Group Finance Director and Group Chief Financial Officer. The Head of Finance Director will be someone with the relevant experience/attributes described below and a willingness to partner/work with the wider business to achieve the Group’s goals.
Key duties and responsibilities
Group reporting
- Oversee subsidiary month-end submissions in group reporting software
- Oversee month-end consolidation adjustments and review/reconcile top-level consolidations
- Prepare group variance analysis, commentary, and feed into month-end reporting papers to the Executive management team and Permira
- Develop expertise and champion group reporting through Prophix
- Oversee the preparation of UK GAAP compliant financial statements for UK subsidiaries
- Review and assist in the preparation of the Ergomed Group IFRS financial statements
Budget and forecasting
- Consolidate group budget/forecast submissions and assist with preparation of slides for management/board
- Prepare monthly departmental variance analysis against budget/forecast and resolve variances with department heads
Treasury
- Support the Group Finance Director in optimising cash and deposit yields and hedging foreign currency/interest risk in line with the Treasury policy
- Oversee debt covenant compliance workings
- Support ongoing banking compliance (mandates, credit exposures, authority matrices, etc.)

Other
- Support the activities around the pre and post-acquisition of companies
- Support in cost control activities across SG&A
- Review and prepare accounting technical papers where required
- Assist in drafting Audit Committee and Board papers
- Ad hoc finance projects and activities as they arise within the business
- Help with the learning and development of the Group Reporting team
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified, 7-10 years PQE
- Top ten audit experience
- Knowledge of IFRS statutory accounts and disclosures
- Industry consolidation and reporting experience
- Prophix and/or Sage X3 system experience a bonus
