Finance Director (Interim)
We are supporting a PE backed organisation in the appointment of an Interim Finance Director to stabilise, review and strengthen the finance function during a period of change. This assignment has a strong focus on reviewing, improving and embedding robust financial processes and controls, ensuring the finance operation is fit for purpose and scalable.
Key Responsibilities Conduct a thorough review of existing finance processes, systems and internal controls Identify control gaps, inefficiencies and risk areas; design and implement practical improvements Strengthen month-end close, reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes Improve financial governance, policies and compliance frameworks Act as a senior business partner to the MD, Board and wider leadership team Support and develop the finance team, introducing structure, clarity and accountability Provide hands-on leadership while maintaining a strategic, value‑adding perspective

Key Requirements Proven experience operating at Interim Finance Director or Senior Interim FD level Track record of process improvement, control remediation and finance transformation Comfortable operating in imperfect environments and delivering change at pace Strong stakeholder management skills with credibility at Board level Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) preferred
