This means we are positive about making adjustments as well as providing flexible working and we would be happy to talk to you about how this could work for you.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to play a key leadership role within our high-performing East Midlands Division. Based in Leicester, the division supports a region annually delivering around 750 to 900 homes across 25 to 30 live developments.

The Role

Leading an established finance team, you will take ownership and drive financial performance across the division, ensuring robust management accounts, forecasting, cashflow reporting, KPI tracking, audits and cost controls are delivered accurately and at pace.

The role would suit someone who is hands-on, data-driven and confident working in the detail, while also being able to step back and influence at board level.

We are looking for a qualified finance professional with strong corporate finance experience, ideally gained within a large structured corporate environment.

Divisional Management

  • Develop the business plan with other functional heads within the division, ensuring it is aligned to the Group's strategic objectives. • Review and challenge proposed land acquisitions, including areas such as the financial assumptions and VAT.
  • Primary divisional contact for divisional HR, payroll, IT and fleet issues with support available from Group and lead and manage the Divisional finance team and ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency are maximised.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
