Finance Director – UK
International Manufacturing & Solutions Group
Our client is a well-known, privately-owned international group manufacturing equipment and solutions for both the B2B and B2C markets. The Group has a substantial global footprint and a mature UK sales business generating revenues of circa £200m. Following an ongoing restructure, the business has redefined the role of UK Finance Director.
This is a commercially focussed, strategic finance role at the heart of the UK leadership team, with full budgetary ownership and regular direct customer contact.
The Role
Acting as the strategic right-hand to the UK MD, the Finance Director will build a clear, current view of business performance — analysing sales, margin, working capital and cash flow to identify risk and opportunity, then using that insight to shape commercial decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
