Finance Executive Apprentice

We're looking for a Finance Executive Apprentice to join our Corporate Ops Directorate. This role can be based at any of our office locations: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York, Glasgow. At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%.

About the Finance and Procurement Team

The Finance and Procurement team covers finance, procurement, business planning, in year business monitoring, oversight of internal audit and financial governance for the organisation. As a result of these activities and its position at the centre, the team works closely with all directorates within the ORR.

Role Responsibilities

The Finance Executive Apprentice will be responsible for:

  • Processing all expenditure, including staff expenses, using the Oracle accounting system to complete day-to-day tasks
  • Managing income, including the raising of invoices, interacting with customers and credit control
  • Interacting closely with all ORR’s directorates and several external stakeholders, such as suppliers of goods and services and the National Audit Office

This role is crucial in supporting the smooth operation of the organisation and helps to ensure that we maintain strong relationships with external organisations. Reflecting the flexible manner in which our team works, there is an opportunity for your areas of responsibility to change over time, including to support your on-going professional development.

About the Apprenticeship

As a Finance Executive - Apprentice, you will be working in employment, gaining experience and working through a Level 4 Professional Accounting Apprenticeship. You will develop skills that will aid you in the workplace, such as communication, ability to work under pressure, and teamwork.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who will enjoy working in a small and dynamic team, within a multi-disciplinary organisation, and who is capable of working simultaneously on a range of issues, balancing priorities as necessary.
