Finance Executive
Finance Executive – Consumer Brand (FMCG)
Salary: £35,000 p.a. (pro-rata)
Location: Slough (office/home working hybrid preferred). Will consider full remote for exceptional candidates.
Contract: Part-time (3 days per week, initially). Fixed-term minimum of 6 months, with potential for a permanent role based on performance.
We are a fast-growing consumer brand, stocked by major retailers, aiming to revolutionise fruit snacking as an exciting alternative to sugar-filled confections.
About the Role
As the Finance Executive, you’ll report to the Finance Manager and play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will span accounts management, ledger maintenance, Sage 50 administration, and Excel reporting.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices accurately and promptly in Sage 50.
- Maintaining customer and supplier accounts, ensuring records are up to date.
- Performing bank reconciliations and allocating customer payments.
- Managing the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and handling credit control activities.
- Preparing and updating Excel spreadsheets for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis.
- Addressing invoice queries professionally from customers and suppliers.
- Supporting month-end processes by generating reports and checking account balances.
- Organising financial records, both digitally and in paper format.
- Liaising with internal teams and external contacts on finance-related matters.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a finance administration, accounts management, or similar office-based role.
- Knowledge of accounting systems, with a preference for Sage 50 experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced features for spreadsheets and data analysis.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Confident proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word).
