The Role
We are seeking an ambitious Governor with a strong finance background to bring expertise, passion for education, and strategic insight to our Corporation Board. Your role will be pivotal in:
- Supporting strategic direction – Shaping the College’s long-term goals and helping transform learners’ lives through education.
- Representing diverse communities – Bringing a blend of public, private, business, and education sector perspectives.
- Driving excellence – Ensuring the College remains a first-choice destination for learners and employers.
As a member of the Governing Body:
- You will work with a collaborative team of committed professionals.
- Guidance and training will be provided if you’re new to governance.
- No prior governance experience is required—just expertise and dedication.
- A rewarding commitment to community impact and meaningful contributions.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Governance – Assist in setting and reviewing academic, vocational, and financial policies to align with the College’s vision.
- Finance Leadership – Support the financial oversight, audits, and strategic expenditure decisions.
- Skills Sharing – Contribute business, financial, or career expertise to inform decision-making.
- Community Engagement – Represent our college and wider local/regional stakeholders effectively.
- Assurance – Accessories the Chair, Vice-Chair, and Principal in maintaining performance, compliance, and accountability.
