Finance Implementation Specialist

Job Description: Finance Implementation Specialist

The Company

At AccountsIQ, part of the AIQ Group, we’re committed to revolutionising how organisations manage their finances—bringing clarity and efficiency through smart financial software.

We combine the expertise of ExpenseIn, a leading expense management platform, with our own feature-rich cloud-based accounting software—AccountsIQ. Our solution transforms the finance function for multi-entity businesses, helping them seamlessly capture, process, and report financial data with ease.

In today’s fast-moving business landscape, we empower finance teams to make better decisions faster, work smarter, and unlock growth without the complexity or cost of traditional ERP systems.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Solutions and Services, the Finance Implementation Specialist will play a pivotal role in onboarding new UK and Irish customers, guiding partners through seamless implementation and adoption of AccountsIQ. As a key advocate for our software, you’ll ensure customers not only understand the system but also adopt it effectively, significantly improving their daily financial workflows—and the lives of those who depend on finance teams.

Key Objectives:

  • Deliver flawless customer onboarding by guiding them from project kickoff through configuration, testing, go-live, and handover.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex financial processes into actionable system setup tailored to the customer’s unique needs.
  • Drive customer success through structured onboarding sessions, practical training, and clear communication, ensuring adopters can fully leverage the system’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Support, Reporting, Integrations) to solve challenges and enhance the overall customer experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Core Responsibilities

  • Project Management of Customer Onboarding

    • Manage the full implementation lifecycle for new AccountsIQ customers, from project charter through to final handover.
    • Define project timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and priorities.
    • Maintain transparent status updates with customers and internal stakeholders via regular project reviews and reporting.
  • Customer Engagement and Training

    • Lead structured onboarding sessions, workshops, and training activities to help customers design, configure, and test the system.
    • Explain and communicate finance and accounting concepts in clear, accessible ways for all user levels.
    • Conduct risk and readiness reviews pre-go-live with stakeholders to ensure confidence and optimal adoption.
  • Process Mapping and Configuration

    • Collaborate with customers to analyse their current finance processes, business models, and support systems.
    • Design and define drafting options for:
      • General Ledger (GL) structure, sub-divisions, and categorisation.
      • User roles, permissions, and security workflows.
      • Custom reporting requirements, dashboards, and management information.
    • Support AP/AR configurations, bank reconciliation, budgeting, and approval workflows tailored to individual customer demands.
  • Data Migration and Validations

    • Work with customers through the data migration lifecycle: template review, data cleaning, validation, reconciliation, and testing.
    • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure data integrity and system alignment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
