Finance Lawyer

Manchester or Birmingham

Join a market-leading Finance team where your expertise will contribute to some of the most sophisticated financing transactions in the market. Pinsent Masons is seeking a Finance Lawyer (3-6 years PQE) to join our highly regarded team in Manchester or Birmingham.

This is an opportunity to advise on a broad range of finance transactions, with a particular focus on asset-based lending and receivables financing. Working alongside recognised leaders in the field, you will support a diverse client base ranging from major UK clearing banks and alternative lenders to listed corporates and high-growth businesses.

You’ll be part of a nationally recognised and fast-growing team, advising on innovative financing structures across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. With exposure to high-profile transactions and direct client contact from an early stage, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, develop strong market relationships and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of our Finance practice.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in delivering complex and high-value financing transactions for a broad range of lenders, investors and borrowers. Working closely with partners and colleagues across our national Finance practice, you will advise on a variety of finance matters, ranging from bilateral facilities through to large syndicated and multi-jurisdictional financings.

What You’ll Do

Bring your finance expertise, commercial judgement and client-focused approach to a team trusted by leading financial institutions and corporate borrowers. Your role will see you:

  • Advising lenders and borrowers on a broad range of finance transactions, with a particular focus on asset-based lending facilities and receivables financing
  • Supporting complex financing arrangements, including bilateral and syndicated transactions, domestic and cross-border financings, and other structured lending solutions across the following product areas: acquisition finance, real estate finance, corporate lending, securitisation and debt capital markets
  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing key financing documentation and ancillary transaction documents
  • Working closely with colleagues across Finance (both UK and Internationally) and other practice areas to deliver integrated, commercially focused advice to clients
  • Building strong client relationships and developing a deep understanding of clients' commercial objectives and financing needs
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth and success of our Finance practice

About The Team

Our Finance team advises a diverse range of clients, including:

  • UK clearing banks and major financial institutions
  • Independent asset-based lenders
  • Debt funds and alternative finance providers
  • Corporate borrowers ranging from listed businesses to high-growth SMEs
  • Investors and participants on more complex structured finance deals
