Finance Lead

Finance Lead

About the Role

The Finance Lead is a hands-on role combining ownership of core financial processes—including month-end and reporting—with responsibility for delivering key financial initiatives across the group. This position balances business-as-usual (BAU) accountability with project delivery, ensuring that financial operations run effectively today while driving improvements in how finance operates.

This role is suited to someone comfortable in a dynamic, transformational environment, who can take ownership of both day-to-day financial outputs and change initiatives—from scoping through execution and embedding sustainable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead and deliver financial projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, execution, and embedding outcomes into the business
  • Drive improvements to financial processes, ensuring better efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the group
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to successfully implement change

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
