Job Description:

Finance Manager – Corporate Functions (FTC - 14 Months)

Reporting to: Finance Director – Investment & Optimisation

Why This Role?

This is a highly visible Finance Manager role supporting several of King's core corporate functions.

You will partner with several corporate functions, helping leaders understand their financial position, make informed investment decisions and deliver against budgets.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will provide financial insight, challenge and operational support across planning cycles, month-end, forecasting and investment decisions, while contributing to continuous improvement across Finance.

Your Role within the Kingdom

Corporate Business Partnering

  • Partner and build trusted relationships with Corporate functional leaders to understand priorities, investment plans and financial performance.
  • Support leaders in making informed decisions through financial insight and analysis.
  • Build trusted relationships across Finance and the business.
  • Provide constructive challenge while maintaining a collaborative approach.
  • Help improve financial understanding across non-finance stakeholders.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Own forecasting and budgeting for assigned corporate functions.
  • Coordinate Monthly Close, Forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Planning.
  • Ensure submissions are accurate, complete and delivered on time.
  • Monitor spend against budget and explain key movements.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and recommend mitigating actions.

Financial Analysis & Insight

  • Analyse cost drivers and trends.
  • Produce clear reporting and insightful management commentary.
  • Develop financial models to support business cases and investment decisions.
  • Support evaluation of initiatives, hiring requests and strategic investments.
  • Translate financial data into actionable recommendations.

Governance & Financial Control

  • Maintain strong financial governance across headcount, capital and operating expenditure for assigned areas.
  • Partner closely with FinOps, Accenture, HR, Procurement, and wider Finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Finance policies and planning assumptions.
  • Support approval processes for headcount and operating expenditure.
  • Improve transparency of financial performance through robust reporting.
  • Maintain data quality across finance systems.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify planning and reporting.
  • Improve financial models and reporting tools.
  • Support automation and systems improvements.
  • Help develop scalable and consistent finance processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new organisations, build credibility with stakeholders, and deliver impact in complex environments
  • Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and executive stakeholders within a complex organisation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate deliverables across numerous stakeholders and deadlines
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities evolve
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to challenge constructively
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences, including senior leadership
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Experience working with shared service or outsourced finance teams is advantageous
