Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
Hybrid Working - 4 days office / 1 day remote

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business and lead the day-to-day operations of our finance function.
Managing a team of 8 across Management Accounts, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, driving continuous improvement and ensuring robust financial controls across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Delivering financial analysis and reporting to support business performance and strategic decision-making
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of 8 finance professionals
- Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital performance
- Ensuring compliance with VAT, Intrastat and statutory reporting requirements
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities
- Leading the annual audit process and supporting statutory accounts preparation
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and efficiencies
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and providing meaningful financial insight and support
Essential Experience
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant role
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Experience managing audits and statutory reporting requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a multi-site business environment
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial services or distribution sectors
- Experience with ERP systems and finance process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Intact IQ or similar finance systems
- Strong understanding of working capital management and cash flow forecasting
