Finance Manager
Location: London
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A fast-growing distribution business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join its London-based finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible role offering significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence financial and operational performance across the business.
This position is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining strong financial control with commercial business partnering in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of key financial reporting processes, support strategic decision-making through insightful analysis, and help ensure robust financial governance across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the monthly management accounts and month-end close process
- Preparing monthly reporting packs and delivering meaningful financial insights
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
- Partnering with budget holders across multiple business functions to manage costs and identify opportunities for improvement
- Supporting annual budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
- Managing the annual audit process and coordinating external auditors
- Supporting statutory reporting and compliance requirements
- Overseeing payroll accounting and associated controls
- Providing financial oversight of inventory and stock-related accounting processes
- Driving process improvements and strengthening financial controls

About You
We're looking for a hands-on, proactive finance professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships across the business.

You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification and a background in audit
- Several years' post-qualified experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong financial control and month-end reporting experience
- Experience managing audits and statutory reporting processes
- Cashflow forecasting and financial modelling capability
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders
- Previous experience managing or mentoring junior team members
