Marine Finance Manager
Location: Poundbury, Dorset
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60k

Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts in line with Group reporting requirements.
- Prepare profit & loss reports, balance sheet reconciliations, financial commentary and variance analysis.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting and ongoing business planning.
- Monitor financial performance, identify trends and provide commercial recommendations to improve profitability.
- Maintain strong financial controls, accounting processes and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support statutory reporting, year-end accounts, external audits, VAT returns and tax compliance.
- Oversee monthly payroll and pension administration.
- Partner with operational managers to support commercial decision-making and improve business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting processes and internal controls.
- Build strong working relationships across the business, providing financial support on projects and strategic initiatives.

About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA/CA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
- Experience with Sage Systems.
- Strong experience in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to interpret financial data and provide practical business recommendations.
- Proven experience maintaining financial controls and improving finance processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using financial systems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within the marine, offshore, engineering or energy sectors would be highly advantageous.
