We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing organisation. Job Summary
We’re looking for a confident, detail-driven Tax & Compliance Manager to take ownership of all tax, regulatory, and statutory compliance activities across the business. This is a key role for someone who enjoys being the go-to expert, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and wants to make a visible impact on how a company manages risk, governance, and financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Group’s tax strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all corporate tax filings, submissions, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion, including R&D tax claim.
- Oversee VAT returns, indirect tax obligations, and cross-border tax considerations.
- Maintain full compliance with UK and international regulations, including Companies House, HMRC, and industry-specific requirements.
- Oversight of statutory reporting.
- Lead internal and external audits, identify compliance risks, and implement robust controls.
- Create and maintain tax and compliance policies, procedures, and internal guidance.
- Support senior leadership with tax insights, scenario modelling, and compliance advice for strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet, trial balance and income statement accounts and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Management of month-end closing process.
- Maintain insights and commentary on major variances.

Skills and Qualifications
- A professional qualification in accounting or tax (CTA, ACCA, ACA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, and international tax principles.
- Experience managing statutory filings, regulatory submissions, and audit processes.
- Ability to interpret complex tax legislation and translate it into practical business guidance.
- Confident communicator able to influence at all levels.
- Comfortable working with finance systems, reporting tools, and digital tax platforms.
- High level of accuracy and a proactive approach to risk management.
