Salary: A GBP 42,000 : A GBP 48,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Management Accountant to join a busy growing business based on the outskirts of York, North Yorkshire.

The Role

Financial control is central to supporting the organisation's growth and long-term strategy. As Finance Manager, you'll work closely with an experienced management team and contribute directly to commercial performance and strategic development.

This is a full-time, on-site role overseeing day-to-day financial operations across multiple revenue streams. You'll deliver accurate reporting, analyse variances, support decision-making, and continuously improve financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly management accounts: Prepare and present insightful financial reporting for senior leadership.
  • Cash flow forecasting: Maintain and update monthly forecasts.
  • Revenue reconciliation: Reconcile sales across booking systems, EPOS tills, and other income streams.
  • Purchase ledger management: Oversee supplier payments and bank allocations.
  • Gift voucher processing: Manage sales and redemptions.
  • Payroll: Process monthly payroll for approximately 140 employees using Sage 50 Payroll.
  • Team leadership: Manage and support a small team of two.
  • Forecasting and business planning: Support the rolling five-year plan.
  • Budget coordination: Collaborate with operations and sales teams.
  • Year-end audit: Manage audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.

About You

  • Strong experience using Sage 50 Payroll (essential)
  • Experience with Sage 200 (desirable)
  • Hospitality or multi-revenue environment experience (desirable)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead a small team

Working Hours and Location

  • Permanent, full-time
  • 37.5 hours per week (9am-5pm)
  • Fully on-site near York
