Finance Manager - Accounting, Reporting & Financial Control

3 month contract

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead accounting, reporting, and financial control activities within a complex business environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, strengthening controls, driving compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting, reporting, and financial control processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, providing analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain finance data integrity and ensure effective reporting and control frameworks.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives and the implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through robust controls and assurance activities.
  • Partner with audit teams to support control testing and compliance reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, providing trusted financial support and business partnering.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Coach and develop team members where appropriate.

Experience Required

  • Significant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial control.
  • Strong track record of delivering financial governance, compliance, and controls within a large, complex organisation.
  • Experience of financial analysis, management reporting, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of audit, assurance, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience driving process improvements and implementing change initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
