Finance Manager Role
We are seeking a commercially aware Finance Manager on behalf of a multi-location consumer service and retail operator in Oxford, to take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function and act as a key commercial partner to the senior leadership team. Ideal applicants will be qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA and have experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Take full ownership of the month-end close process and the preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L variance analysis, and commercial commentary.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a Finance Assistant, ensuring accurate transactional processing and supporting their professional development.
- Forward Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop annual budgets, rolling cash flow forecasts, and treasury management strategies.
- Operational Controls: Oversee financial operations, controls, and ledger integrity across multiple operating sites, ensuring accurate cost-matching and revenue reporting.
- Compliance & Governance: Manage corporate compliance, including VAT returns, payroll reviews, and the preparation of year-end statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
- Commercial Support: Lead monthly financial review meetings with non-finance operational managers to boost financial awareness and performance across the business.

- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience) with strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Experience gained in a similar role.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into engaging presentations for operational stakeholders.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership of a fast-paced finance function.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with multi-site retail, leisure, or ERP systems is highly advantageous.
