Finance Manager

5–6 Month Interim Contract

£250–£300 per day (Inside IR35)

Farnborough – Hybrid Working (2 Days On-Site)

We're supporting a well-established travel and leisure business that is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager on an interim basis to strengthen its finance operations during a period of organisational change.

This is a project-focused role where you'll be responsible for designing and embedding robust finance processes across cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany accounting. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll create scalable frameworks that improve financial control, consistency, and visibility across multiple legal entities.

Immediate availability is essential.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of several key finance improvement projects, helping to build repeatable processes that will support the business long after the assignment has ended.

This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys improving finance functions, implementing controls, and creating structure within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a robust cash flow forecasting process, delivering short, medium, and long-term forecasting models across the group
  • Build a standardised balance sheet reconciliation framework, including templates, review processes, sign-off controls, and escalation procedures
  • Lead the implementation of consistent reconciliation processes across multiple entities, ensuring balance sheet integrity and timely resolution of outstanding items
  • Develop and formalise intercompany reconciliation processes, defining ownership, reporting timelines, and governance across the group
  • Review and improve subsidiary recharge processes, including management fees, payroll recharges, and intercompany cost allocations
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to strengthen controls and improve the quality of financial information at source
  • Support month-end reporting by improving reconciliation processes and ensuring strong financial governance
  • Produce clear process documentation to support future ownership and consistency across the finance function
  • Work across multiple finance systems including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and planning tools to improve reporting and financial visibility

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
