Finance Manager | Brentford, West London (Office-Based) | £60,000 + Excellent Benefits | Permanent
Please only apply if you can commute to Brentford within a maximum of one hour. This is an essential requirement for the role. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.
We are recruiting on behalf of a growing construction services business for an experienced Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and lead the day-to-day finance function. Immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the finance team.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reporting.
- Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed.
- Oversee weekly payroll, client invoicing and supplier payments.
- Ensure VAT, PAYE, CIS and Corporation Tax obligations are processed accurately and on time.
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow and the invoice discounting facility.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Assist with year-end accounts and external audits.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including the company vehicle fleet, and hire purchase schedules.
- Support the Finance Director with process improvements and internal controls.

About You
- At least two years' experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar senior finance leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and developing a finance team.
- Strong experience producing monthly management accounts and managing month-end/year-end close.
- Confident overseeing VAT, PAYE and CIS compliance.
- Strong cash flow, budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills; Sage accounting software experience is advantageous.
- ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
