Shape the Future of Finance in a Growing Financial Services Business

πŸ’· Β£70,000 - Β£80,000 + Benefits
πŸ“ London
🏒 Financial Services / Payments
πŸ“„ Permanent

We're partnering with an ambitious and evolving financial services organisation to hire a Finance Manager for a newly created position within its expanding finance team.

This is far more than a traditional reporting role. You'll sit at the heart of the finance function, working across financial reporting, forecasting, business planning, commercial analysis and finance transformation, helping build a more scalable, insight-driven finance capability.

With significant exposure to senior leadership, you'll have the opportunity to influence how finance supports decision-making, improve processes, and play a key role in shaping future planning and forecasting frameworks.

If you're a qualified accountant looking for a role that offers genuine breadth, visibility and the chance to make a tangible impact, this could be an excellent next step.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning and enhancing key financial reporting and management information processes.
  • Supporting statutory accounts, year-end activities and technical accounting matters.
  • Producing insightful analysis that helps drive strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting and long-term business planning.
  • Building and refining financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to challenge assumptions and improve financial outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate, streamline and improve finance processes.
  • Supporting finance transformation initiatives and helping implement best-in-class ways of working.
  • Contributing to the development of scalable reporting, forecasting and consolidation frameworks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
