Job Opportunity: Finance Manager
Alexander Daniels are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing and highly reputable service-led organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. Role Overview
As Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations while leading and developing a small, office-based finance team. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, improving processes, and supporting wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all core processes
- Manage banking activities, including reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Lead the preparation and processing of customer invoicing on a regular basis, ensuring timely and accurate billing
- Oversee purchase ledger activities, ensuring supplier transactions are processed effectively
- Manage credit control processes to optimise cash collection and reduce risk
- Review and reconcile payroll-related financial data on a monthly basis
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to junior finance team members
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments
- Act as the key contact for external audit processes, coordinating required information and documentation
- Support cash flow planning to maximise liquidity and working capital efficiency
- Assist with year-end processes and preparation of statutory financial statements
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and drive operational efficiencies

About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent), finalist will be considered dependant on experience
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Confident communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrates a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience implementing and maintaining robust financial controls
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience using Sage 50 (or similar accounting systems)
- Previous experience in a high-growth or dynamic business environment
- Experience working with confidential invoice discounting facilities
