Job Opportunity: Finance Manager

Alexander Daniels are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing and highly reputable service-led organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business experiencing sustained growth, with ambitious plans and a strong focus on people, culture, and continuous improvement.

Role Overview

As Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations while leading and developing a small, office-based finance team. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, improving processes, and supporting wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all core processes
  • Manage banking activities, including reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
  • Lead the preparation and processing of customer invoicing on a regular basis, ensuring timely and accurate billing
  • Oversee purchase ledger activities, ensuring supplier transactions are processed effectively
  • Manage credit control processes to optimise cash collection and reduce risk
  • Review and reconcile payroll-related financial data on a monthly basis
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to junior finance team members
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments
  • Act as the key contact for external audit processes, coordinating required information and documentation
  • Support cash flow planning to maximise liquidity and working capital efficiency
  • Assist with year-end processes and preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and drive operational efficiencies

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent), finalist will be considered dependant on experience
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Confident communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrates a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience implementing and maintaining robust financial controls
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using Sage 50 (or similar accounting systems)
  • Previous experience in a high-growth or dynamic business environment
  • Experience working with confidential invoice discounting facilities
