Up to Circa £75,000 + Benefits (Central London / Hybrid Working)

Our client is a well-established and growing B2B services business with revenues of approximately £20m. As part of a larger international group, the company combines the agility and visibility of a mid-sized organisation with the stability, resources and long-term career opportunities associated with a global business.

The business is seeking to appoint a hands-on Finance Manager into a broad and highly visible role with responsibility for all aspects of financial and management accounting. Overseeing day-to-day finance operations, the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate reporting, maintain strong financial controls, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide commercial finance support to key stakeholders across the business.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the position offers excellent exposure to both operational and strategic finance, providing the opportunity to become a key business partner to the leadership team and play an active role in supporting the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring robust financial controls, effective processes, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and insightful financial analysis for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee all transactional finance activities, including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and working capital to support the ongoing needs of the business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers, and other key professional stakeholders.
  • Ensure all statutory, regulatory, and compliance obligations are met accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, providing meaningful financial insights to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare board reports, delivering clear commentary and analysis around financial and operational performance.
  • Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business to drive profitability, improve decision-making, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, financial controls, and operational efficiencies across both finance and the wider business.
  • Support strategic initiatives, business projects, and ad hoc analysis as required by the CFO and senior leadership team.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to the CFO and wider leadership team, providing both operational financial expertise and commercially focused insight to support continued growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
