Interim Finance Manager
Cedar is partnered with a growing, private equity-backed SaaS business to appoint an Interim Finance Manager. This is an initial 3-month contract, offering a day rate of £375-425 per day (Inside IR35).
The Company
This international, investor-backed software business has established itself as a market leader within its niche and is continuing to invest heavily in its finance function as it scales. Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, the business combines recurring revenues with a strong commercial focus and an ambitious transformation agenda. Following continued growth and investment, the finance team is looking to bring in an experienced interim to provide additional bandwidth during a busy reporting period while supporting the ongoing development of the function.

The Role
This is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager position within a lean, collaborative finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial control through year-end while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting delivery of the year-end close and associated reporting.
- Taking ownership of core financial control activities.
- Overseeing finance operations across AP, AR, and Payroll.
- Supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Driving improvements to finance processes, controls, and reporting.
- Working closely with senior finance leadership to improve efficiency and strengthen the finance function.
- Supporting wider finance projects and operational improvements as required.

Your Profile
- Strong year-end and financial control experience.
- Previous industry experience within a Finance Manager or Financial Controller capacity.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on operational finance role.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, including AP, AR, and Payroll.
- Experience improving finance processes and controls.
- Strong ERP and systems capability.
Compensation & Working Arrangements
- The day rate for this Interim Finance Manager role is £375-425 per day (Inside IR35).
- The role is based in The City of London, with hybrid working requiring three days per week in the office.
