Finance Manager – Long-Term Fixed Term Contract
Location: Blackpool
Company: Broster Buchanan (partnering with a leading support services organisation)
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established support services organisation that delivers tangible impact within its communities. Within a values-driven culture, the Finance Manager will report to senior finance leadership and play a critical role in driving high-quality financial management, alongside leading and developing a small finance team.
Ideal for an experienced Finance Manager who thrives on the balance of practical financial leadership and people development in a collaborative environment.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to inform strategic decision-making.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting the development of the small finance team.
- Managing month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and effectively.
- Preparing management accounts, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Providing financial analysis and acting as a business partner across operational teams.
- Liaising with statutory and audit requirements for compliant reporting.
- Driving continuous improvement in finance processes and controls.
- Ensuring strict adherence to financial policies, regulations, and best practices.

About You
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role.
- Demonstrates experience in managing or mentoring a finance team.
- Possesses strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Excels in stakeholder management and clear communication.
- Takes a proactive approach, with a focus on leaning workflows and problem-solving.
