White Horse Employment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and successful SME based in Westbury with the recruitment of a newly created Finance Manager position, due to continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant/Finance Manager to take on a senior role within the business, reporting directly into the number one in finance. As part of the continued growth of the organisation, this is a brand-new position offering the opportunity to take genuine ownership of the finance function while partnering closely with senior leaders across the business.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable working across the detail of day-to-day finance as they are producing management accounts, analysing business performance and supporting strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders and operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and support the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust financial controls
- Prepare full month-end management accounts, including analysis, commentary and variance reporting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning to support business performance
- Act as a key finance business partner to senior leaders across the business
- Oversee VAT, R&D tax claim support, year-end and statutory reporting requirements
- Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting, including supporting manufacturing and operational finance
Key Requirements
- Previous experience within an SME environment, ideally within a similar operational business
- Strong experience managing the full month-end process and producing management accounts
- Qualified or qualified by experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Commercially minded with experience of budgeting, forecasting and strong system knowledge
