Finance Manager (CPG Scale-Up)
The Role:
We're looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and run it hands-on, in the detail, day to day. XOXO is scaling fast across the UK and Europe, and there's a complex finance function to build here. You'll report straight to our co-founder and CFO and own the ledgers, the close, the controls, the compliance and the reporting, with an outsourced bookkeeping team behind you. If you love getting your hands dirty ensuring the books are closed on time, building systems & controls, and imposing order in a fast-moving business, read on.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Accountabilities)
Inventory & Systems (Core):
- Own Unleashed (ERP) and Xero (GL) and their integration, so stock maps cleanly to the general ledger. Stock is our largest asset; you keep it accurate. This is your first and biggest win.
Month-End Close:
- Deliver a reliable five-working-day month-end close, and build the timetable that keeps it there. Timely, accurate management accounts the founders and investors can trust.
Financial Control & Process:
- Design and roll out real controls and SOPs across the business, from PO to final reconciliation. Manage our outsourced bookkeeping agency and own the quality of what they deliver.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
