Overview:
A large, private equity-backed organisation undergoing a period of significant transformation and growth. The business operates in a dynamic environment, with a strong focus on enhancing performance, strengthening financial controls, and driving long-term value creation. This is an exciting time to join as the organisation continues to evolve its processes, systems, and commercial strategy.
The Finance Manager will support the wider Finance team in a varied role with strong development potential. While there is a focus on VAT, the position sits within a broader finance remit, contributing to financial control, compliance, and process improvement. The role will oversee VAT across the business, ensuring accurate treatment within financial records, preparing and reviewing VAT returns, and resolving any issues. It also supports budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and wider finance activities where required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review VAT returns, reconciliations, and supporting analysis
- Provide practical guidance on VAT and financial matters across the business
- Maintain strong controls and improve processes and documentation
- Review balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Support audits and act as a key contact for VAT-related queries
- Deliver clear reporting to management on risks and performance
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to improve systems and processes
- Contribute to accounting policies and broader finance activities as needed
