Finance Manager
Location: South Devon Salary: £55,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a respected and established coastal business, renowned for delivering a high-quality experience to its customers while combining traditional values with a forward-thinking approach. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to become a key part of a successful and growing organisation.
This Finance Manager role is ideal for a driven finance professional looking to take ownership of a varied and hands-on position within a unique coastal environment. You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team where you can make a genuine impact, contribute to business success, and play a key role in shaping the future of the finance function.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth running of the finance function and support the wider administration team
- Manage accurate financial records, reporting processes, and accounting systems
- Lead and develop a finance team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring
- Take ownership of:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Credit control activities
- Produce key management information and monitor financial performance indicators
- Support:
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Audits
- Regulatory compliance requirements
- Maintain effective financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Manage:
- Payroll
- Banking processes
- Supplier relationships
- Support senior leadership with:
- Commercial insight
- Operational decision-making

Requirements
- Experience as a finance professional in practice or early-stage industry
- Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant
- Part-qualified
- Or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Strong understanding of:
- Accounting processes
- Financial controls
- Financial reporting
- Ability to:
- Communicate confidently
- Build relationships across the business
- Personality traits:
- Proactive
- Organised
- Commercially minded, with a hands-on approach
