Role Overview

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the finance function, manage a transactional finance team, and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Michael Page Finance are partnering with a well-established and successful services business to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with a strong reputation in its sector, offering a broad and hands-on role with genuine responsibility and visibility across the business.

Description

  • Managing and developing a finance team of six
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Overseeing month-end processes and ensuring strong financial controls
  • Managing payroll, VAT returns, PAYE and statutory reporting
  • Authorising payments and monitoring cash flow
  • Leading the annual audit and liaising with external auditors
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Monitoring stock reconciliations and debt reviews
  • Deputising for the CFO when required and supporting wider finance projects

Profile

A Successful Finance Manager Should Have

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience managing a finance team
  • Strong management accounting and financial control experience
  • Knowledge of payroll, VAT and statutory reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
