Finance Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team, supporting the Trading function as their business partner.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving performance across the nutmeg trading category by providing insightful analysis, challenging assumptions, and supporting decision-making with robust financial expertise.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with the Trading team to provide financial insight and analysis on sales, margin and promotional performance.
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and trends, helping shape trading decisions to deliver growth and profitability.
- Analyzing and understanding weekly working capital variances compared to prior year and targets. Assist in the analysis & communication of forward-looking working capital forecasts to ensure targets are achievable.
- Proactively track and communicate any risks or opportunities regarding non-commercial margin expenditure against both budget and previous year's performance, ensuring timely updates.
- Monitoring cross-category freight price fluctuations and contract renewals to accurately model cost structures and forecast impact on overall commercial margin.
- Building strong relationships with commercial stakeholders to ensure finance is embedded in day-to-day decision making.
- Supporting the development of category strategies by providing forward-looking analysis and scenario modelling. Proactively presenting insights and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to build accurate sales and margin forecasts and budgets, with robust plans for delivery with clear building blocks.
- Driving continuous improvement in processes and analysis within Commercial Finance.

About You
A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), with strong commercial acumen.
- The confidence & ability to challenge non-finance stakeholders to deliver the right end-result.
- A strong communicator, able to build trusted relationships and influence non-finance colleagues.
- Resilience and the ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
- Confident in analyzing complex data, with the ability to turn it into clear, actionable insights.
- Proactive, curious, and solutions-focused – always looking for ways to add value.
