Finance Manager
Location: Farringdon, London with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + bonus + benefits
Overview
Our client is a specialist consulting business that helps organisations harness the power of AI to improve performance, solve complex challenges and deliver lasting transformation.
As the business continues to grow, it is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to support its next phase of development and offers an excellent opportunity to build a career within a growing, entrepreneurial business.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring robust financial management, accurate reporting and effective financial controls
- Partner with Senior Leadership and colleagues across the business to support commercial decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and Board reporting.
- Producing financial reports and analysis to support business performance.
- Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
- Assist with pricing and financial modelling for client proposals and bids.
- Manage purchase orders, invoicing, debt collection and working capital.
- Oversee weekly payment runs and supplier payments.
- Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare payroll information for the outsourced payroll provider and review payroll outputs prior to processing.
- Review VAT returns before submission.
- Support statutory accounts preparation and Companies House/HMRC reporting alongside external accountants.
- Provide financial insight and support to colleagues across the business.

Candidate Profile

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least one year of post-qualified experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Xero and ideally Fathom
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- High levels of accuracy, organisation and commercial awareness.
- The ambition and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
