How you’ll make an impact as a Finance Manager
As a Finance Manager at Flogas, you won’t just report the numbers - you’ll shape the story behind them. Acting as a trusted business partner to our commercial and operations teams, you’ll influence key decisions that drive margin performance, optimise costs, and support sustainable growth.
This is a highly visible role where your insight, challenge, and commercial thinking will directly impact business performance. You’ll combine financial rigour with strategic perspective, helping us unlock value across the organisation.
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Business Partnering & Influence
- Build trusted relationships across operations and commercial teams, providing strategic financial guidance, constructive challenge, and insight to support better decision-making, optimise costs, and drive sustainable business performance.

Performance & Insight
- Own the development, analysis, and communication of key financial and operational metrics, transforming complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve profitability, efficiency, and return on investment.

Continuous Improvement & Change
- Champion operational excellence by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve performance, leading key initiatives that deliver measurable business value.

Commercial Analysis & Value Creation
- Provide robust financial analysis of business performance, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities while supporting leaders to implement effective action plans and achieve strategic objectives.

Strategic Business Support
- Partner closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to ensure financial insight underpins pricing decisions, investment plans, sales strategies, and long-term business priorities, helping shape future growth and performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as a trusted Finance Business Partner to operational and commercial leaders, influencing decision-making across the business.
- Delivering meaningful financial insight and performance analysis that drives efficiency, profitability, and growth.
- Leading cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives to create tangible business value.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities through robust analysis and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Supporting strategic planning, investment decisions, pricing initiatives, and business performance management.
- Challenging and influencing stakeholders to drive accountability, improve returns, and deliver sustainable results.

What we’ll need from you:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- The ability to partner, challenge and influence senior leaders to drive better business outcomes.
- A track record of delivering value through business partnering, commercial insight and performance improvement.
- Strong analytical capability, with the confidence to turn data into compelling business recommendations.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex organisation.
- A growth mindset, taking ownership of opportunities, driving change and continuously seeking better ways of working.
