Finance Manager (D365 / PowerBI)

Based: Blackburn
Salary: circa £70k + benefits including private healthcare, 26 days holiday + stats and more

We're partnering with an ambitious, international services business looking to recruit a Finance Manager. Following a period of strategic investment and continued growth, the business is transforming its finance function and investing heavily in systems, reporting and business intelligence. This is a fantastic opportunity to join at an exciting stage of that journey and play a key role in shaping how finance supports the wider business. This is far more than a traditional reporting role, you will become the finance lead for reporting & systems, leading a finance team and working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful financial insight while helping drive the optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 across the organisation.

Role:

  • Taking ownership of reporting, D365 optimisation and management information, ensuring the business has accurate, timely and insightful reporting to support strategic decision making.
  • Overseeing a finance team and delivering management accounts for multiple entities.
  • Coordinate and improve the month-end reporting processes.
  • Own financial reporting and analysis, providing meaningful insight to support commercial decision making.
  • Become the finance subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365, driving continuous improvement and system optimisation.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of D365, including reporting, data quality and process enhancements utilising PowerBI dashboards.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to improve financial processes and reporting capability.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and support forecasting activities.
  • Support treasury activities, cash management and wider financial control processes.
  • Mentor and support members of the finance team while acting as a key technical point of contact.

Experience:

  • We're looking for someone who combines strong financial reporting experience with genuine systems expertise and a passion for improving processes.
  • Qualified, Part-qualified OR QBE.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 OR optimising a similar system.
  • A solid background in management reporting and month-end processes.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Experience working within a multi-entity or international business would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools essential.
