Interim Finance Manager (3–6 Month Contract)
Location: Belfast, London or Manchester (Hybrid Working Available)
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a dynamic organisation on an interim basis for an initial 3–6 month contract. This role will play a critical part in supporting the finance function during a period of change and growth, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting, business insight, and strong financial controls.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide hands-on financial leadership, support key business initiatives, and help drive continuous improvements across finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
- Deliver accurate financial analysis, insights, and performance commentary.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Monitor financial performance, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Partner with operational and non-finance stakeholders to provide commercial finance support.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Support audit requirements and liaise with external auditors where necessary.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
- Provide guidance and support to finance team members as required.

About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Senior Management Accountant, or similar role.
- Comfortable operating in an interim environment and able to make an immediate impact.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and business partnering experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.
- Able to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
- Available to start at short notice or immediately preferred.
