A full-time, hybrid role, based in Aberdeen with part-time flexibility for remote work, this position oversees all day-to-day finance operations, including:
- Bookkeeping & accounts payable/receivable
- Cash flow monitoring
- General ledger management
- Monthly, quarterly & annual management reporting
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for strategic decision-making
- Managing financial controls, compliance with local regulations & international best practices
- Coordinating with external auditors, banks, and professional service providers
- Supporting commercial decisions on client engagements, pricing, and investments
- Driving continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting for leadership
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong financial management skills, including:
- Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management
- Financial reporting & variance analysis
- Financial analysis for business/investment decisions

Proficiency in accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), general ledger management, and preparation of management accounts

Developed ability to implement and maintain:
- Internal financial controls
- Risk management practices
- Local regulatory compliance

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/ERP software, with a focus on improving financial processes

Analytical, problem-solving, and organisational expertise, with high accuracy & attention to detail

Effective written & verbal communication to relay financial insights to non-finance stakeholders

Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA) or equivalent experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Experience in professional services, legal, consulting, or the energy sector preferred
