Finance Manager
Finance Manager (Uk/Remote/HGB/International)
Our partner is seeking a Finance Manager based in the United Kingdom to strengthen and professionalise accounting operations across multiple entities at a fast-scaling international organization.
This is a high-responsibility finance role, combining hands-on accounting expertise with strategic ownership. As the key finance leader, you will:
- Ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence
- Drive process transformation and insourcing initiatives
- Improve financial workflows and enable data-driven decision-making
- Build and configure a scalable finance function to support long-term growth
This role is perfect for someone who excels in detail-oriented activities while also driving meaningful structural improvements in an evolving environment.
Accountabilities

Financial processing & control
- Manage and execute payment processes with focus on accuracy, timeliness, and financial control

Financial reporting
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements under HGB standards
- Ensure full compliance and reporting quality

Accounting operations & transformation
- Lead the transition of financial processes in-house
- Own and improve multi-entity accounting and consolidation across three legal entities
- Implement cost-effective and scalable accounting systems

Tax & regulatory collaboration
- Work closely with external tax advisors on VAT, compliance, and broader tax-related matters

Process optimisation
- Assess current accounting structures
- Implement enhancements to increase efficiency, scalability, and financial accuracy
- Ensure high-standard bookkeeping and reporting consistency

Stakeholder management
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners (German and international)
- Define a roadmap for insourcing activities within the first months
- Drive insourcing of accounting operations for the German entity
Requirements
Essential
- 8+ years’ experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, or related finance roles
- Deep expertise in HGB accounting standards and German tax regulations
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Proven multi-entity consolidation experience
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
- Structured, independent, and ownership-driven work style
- Outstanding communication and analytical problem-solving skills
- Exposure to fast-growing, international, or digital-first environments
Advantages
