Finance Manager

Who We Are Malin Group is a Glasgow-based engineering services company with a rich heritage in the marine industry, dating back over 120 years. The Group provides comprehensive, end-to-end solutions across various sectors, including shipbuilding, heavy lift, renewables, nuclear, oil & gas, and marine services.

We are driven by three core values that inform every decision, every action, and every interaction. We Care, We Share and We Thrive – these three pillars form the foundation upon which our company is built.

About The Role We’re looking for a capable and technically strong Finance Manager – Financial Reporting & Controls to join our Finance Team.

This is a varied role with a particular focus on financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit preparation, balance sheet control, and robust finance processes across the Group. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Finance Director and wider Finance Team to ensure accurate reporting, effective controls, and high-quality financial information.

This role would suit a qualified or recently qualified accountant, ideally with an audit or practice background, who is looking to move into a varied industry role. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting, reporting, and controls experience, while developing their knowledge of project finance, forecasting, and operational reporting within the Group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
